Family Practitioners are physicians that provide care to people of all ages. They manage you or your family's total health care requirements, including both emotional and physical needs. Family practitioners provide a unique continuity in care for your entire family.
Internists are physicians who specialize in adult medical care, much as a pediatrician is trained in the care of children. An internist generally has completed additional training in treating organs such as the heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, and gastrointestinal and endocrine systems. As personal physicians, internists focus on preventive care and manage simple to complex medical conditions.
Obstetricians/Gynecologists are physicians that specialize in women's medical care. They diagnose and treat disorders of the female reproductive system. In addition, they manage women's health before, during and after pregnancy.
Pediatricians are physicians with extensive training in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of childhood and adolescent diseases. They offer a broad spectrum of primary and specialized care from infancy through the high school and college years.
